Coahuila is the third largest state of the Mexican Republic and located at the border to the U.S. To the west Coahuila borders to the states of Chihuahua and Durango, to the south to the state of Zacatecas and to the east to the state of Nuevo León. Coahuila is divided into 38 municipalities and its capital is the city Saltillo. Economy in Coahuila depends mainly on mining and due to the nearby United States of industrial manufacturing for export purposes and similar businesses. In comparison to the most other states of Mexico, Coahuila is with 75% one of the states with the most population of people with European ancestry.
