The state of Nayarit is located at the Pacific Ocean in central Mexico. To the northwest it is bordering to the state of Sinaloa, to the north to the state of Durango, to the northeast to the state of Zacatecas and in the south of Nayarit the state of Jalisco is located. The state is divided into 20 municipalities and the city of Tepic is the states capital.
