La Peñita de Jaltemba is together with the villages Rincon de Guayabitos and Los Ayala to the south located in the Jaltemba Bay. La Peñita it self is located to the north and seperated by a small river to Rincon de Guayabitos. The very active community consists of the foreign residents as well as of the Mexican population. La Peñita is accessible by the highway 200 from Nuevo Vallarta within 55 minutes and offers besides the nice location many attractions for the travelers. Sailing, snorkeling and diving together with eco adventures like hiking or birding are very popular. During the next years the area will grow fast due to the new developments around. The state of Nayarit government wants to make the Riviera Nayarit area to Mexicos most modern travel destination.
