San Francisco, what is the official name for the village of San Pancho at the Pacific Ocean, is located about 5 minutes north of the surfing hot spot Sayulita, and a few minutes south of the hidden village of Lo de Marcos and a couple of minutes more of the Jaltemba Bay. The villages around, including San Pancho, had been discovered as travel destination thanks to the first U.S. and Canadian travelers who traveled along the Mexican coast with their trailers about 40 years ago. Since then, they settled in the nicest bays and villages they found and made a home. This is the reason why many of these former fisher villages along the Riviera Nayarit, do not have an interesting history apart from a few stories told by the Mexican population which lived there since generations. San Pancho is a very quite place with a wide sandy beach with a lagoon one site. You still find travelers which make stop under the palms for a few days, but it is a growing village with expensive lots and nice beach front villas. Services like restaurants and real estate agencies are available but the main reason to travel to San Pancho is the beauty of this place and surrounding areas. San Pancho is perfect for friends of eco lifestyle and unique natural impressions.
