Nuevo León is one of Mexicos most productive states and located in the northeast of the country, bordering to the west the states of Coahuila and Zacatecas, to the south San Luis Potosà and to the east Tamaulipas. To the north the state borders with the United states through a small stretch of about 16 kilometers. The third largest city of Mexico after the countries capital Mexico City and the city of Guadalajara is Monterrey, which is the capital of Nuevo Leon. The state is industrialized and many of the national leading companies produce in Nuevo Leon. In comparison to many other states of Mexico, Nuevo Leon is a rich state, education, since, culture and business are well developed. The state is divided into 51 municipalities with a total population of about 4.2 Million inhabitants.
